No Souls?

Remember the movie 21 Grams? Popular Mechanics just did a piece on this shitty idea. I mean the idea was good…The theory that at death the mass of the body changes, and that is the soul leaving a body? But, what do you know, turns out we have no souls, even if you believe they are real, they are not, it’s a lie and you are lying to yourself if you still believe it. But that is the difference between belief and faith, believers have belief, in belief, not faith. They say, “I believe it, don’t confuse me with the facts,” and real faith is different, that’s, “oh, mass doesn’t change on death, so maybe we don’t have souls, I know the facts and have faith in that maybe until a better explanation comes, but right now I can only say souls are not made of matter so they maybe don’t exist, at least if they are matter…and if they are not matter then what are they, and could we really have the same neurons, memories, and feelings after death?” Theists are believers, period, scientists that play the agnostic or atheist cards and don’t believe in souls of matter have faith.

Souls are not real because the mass does not change. IRL, the only thing that will leave is your last breathe, and maybe a fart should that happen. So long story short, if the soul is matter, it is real, and it has mass, otherwise souls are super-matter, or supernatural, which is bogus as we can’t test it, so we are free to say anything we want, it’s super nature, or beyond nature. Well we live in the real world, natural world, we can test the real world. The super world is bogus, might as well be a lie or fairy tale. The faithful are equally justified in saying, “I think souls might be made of super-spaghetti, not matter, that explains it better than your religion, or it is equally valid, and I have faith in believing in that, and that is not a belief.”

I mean it’s a good hypothesis, and being a Metaphysical Naturalist that is what I expect. But if you are into “super nature” then maybe it is super nature, which means absolutely nothing imo. Super-naturalists are holding an empty bag.
